If your cable company assures you that they’ll be crediting you back for the technician that they’re sending out (for a mistake they made!), and even if they insist that they’ve made a note on your account, always call back a little later to make sure that they’ve actually added the note.
Thankfully, they eventually managed to pull up a voice recording of the initial phone call and got everything sorted out.
Just a very quick update on Artifice: Episode Two.
I’m looking at a Smashwords release date of sometime during the latter half of March. All other retailers should be stocking it within two weeks of that date.
As for pricing, Artifice: Episode Two will be released for free. (Amazon may take a few weeks to lower the price, though.)
Also, I noticed that iTunes has the book title truncated to just “Artifice”. I’m talking to Smashwords right now to get that fixed.
I’ll be posting updates more frequently from now on, as things have calmed down a little at my day job.
… but, not to worry, I’m still alive.
Sorry for the lack of posts recently, but the beginning of the year is pretty hectic at my day job. Suffice to say, I’m glad January’s over and done with.
Just wanted to thank everyone. The book recently went free at Amazon.com (not .ca, co.uk, etc as yet, but working on it) and I’m currently ranked #85 in Free Epic Fantasy. I’m honestly stunned, but in a good way.
This means I can start promoting in earnest at places such as Kindleboards. This also means I need to get in gear to finish Artifice: Episode Two. I’ve not finished as much as I’d like, but we’re still on track for a March release.
I’ll do a quick update sometime soon with more details.
Thanks again, everyone!
Happy 2013, everyone! Hope the new year holds only good news for you all!
I hope Santa was kind to everyone. Glad to say I’m now the proud owner of a Nexus 7 tablet. 🙂
Artifice: Episode Two is already in the works, and I’m planning to release it around the middle of March (hopefully sooner!).
Well, the Mayan Apocalypse has hit. Haven’t seen any zombies roaming the streets so far…
Over 150 downloads so far from Smashwords, but it looks like it’s starting to taper off.
Good news is that Artifice: Episode One has been shipped to Barnes & Noble, Kobo and Apple. Apple may take up to a few weeks to vet the book, depending on their backlog, but B&N and Kobo should be up in a matter of days.
Once that’s done, I should be able to get the Amazon price adjusted, then I can start promoting in earnest.
